Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CEED IMPACT (Center For Enterprise & Employability Development), referred to as “CEED”, “we” or “us”, collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit ceed.ng, apply for a program, or contact us. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the guidance of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

1. Who we are

CEED IMPACT is a skills and enterprise development organisation based in Nigeria. We run employability, entrepreneurship, practical skills and mentorship programs, and we work with employers, funders and institutions to train teams and sponsor cohorts.

For any privacy question, contact us at info@ceed.ng or on WhatsApp at 0913 900 9881.

2. Personal data we collect

Information you give us. When you apply for a program, make an enquiry or partner with us, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the program you are interested in, and anything you choose to tell us in your message. If you join a program we may also collect information needed to run it, such as attendance, assignments, feedback and progress.

Information collected automatically. When you use the website, our hosting and website software may record technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you visit and the date and time of your visit.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data (such as health, religion or ethnicity) through the website. Please do not include it in your messages.

3. How we use your data
  • To review and respond to your application or enquiry.
  • To contact you by email, phone or WhatsApp about the program you applied for, including schedules, onboarding and next steps.
  • To deliver programs, track progress and issue certificates where applicable.
  • To arrange partnerships, training and sponsored cohorts with organisations.
  • To improve our programs, website and services, including through anonymised statistics.
  • To keep the website secure and to meet our legal obligations.

We will only send you news about other CEED programs and opportunities if you have agreed to it, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Our lawful basis

Under the NDPA we rely on: your consent when you submit a form or opt in to updates; the need to take steps at your request before, and to perform, an agreement with you when you apply for or join a program; our legitimate interests in running and improving our services, where these do not override your rights; and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that took place before.

5. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where needed:

  • Service providers who help us operate, such as our website host, email and cloud productivity tools (including Google, which stores our application records), and messaging platforms such as WhatsApp when you contact us there. They process data on our instructions.
  • Facilitators and mentors who deliver programs you join, limited to what they need.
  • Partners and sponsors who fund or host a cohort you join, only where this is explained to you at enrolment, and usually as summary or anonymised results.
  • Authorities where we are required by law or to protect rights and safety.
6. International transfers

Some of our service providers store data on servers outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we rely on the transfer grounds permitted by the NDPA, such as adequate protection in the receiving country, appropriate contractual safeguards, or your consent, and we choose providers with recognised security standards.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep application and enquiry records for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so we can follow up on intakes and future cohorts. Records for participants who join a program, including certificates, are kept for up to 5 years after completion so we can verify participation. After these periods we delete or anonymise the data, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

8. How we protect your data

We use access controls, password protected accounts, secure (HTTPS) connections and reputable service providers to protect your data. Only team members who need your information to do their work can access it. No online system is completely secure, so if we become aware of a breach that affects you, we will notify you and the NDPC where required by law.

9. Cookies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies that are needed for it to work, such as keeping forms and pages functioning properly, and may use cookies that help us understand how the site is used. Embedded content such as maps or social media may set their own cookies under those providers’ policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work properly as a result.

10. Your rights

Under the NDPA you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your data is used;
  • access a copy of your personal data;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • ask us to delete your data;
  • restrict or object to certain processing, including direct marketing;
  • receive your data in a commonly used format and have it transferred (data portability);
  • withdraw consent at any time.

To use any of these rights, email info@ceed.ng. We may need to confirm your identity, and we will respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng.

11. Applicants under 18

Our programs are mainly designed for young people and adults aged 18 and above. If an applicant is under 18, a parent or guardian must give consent and may be contacted before the application is processed. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor without that consent, we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website or communicated to participants directly.
