Our Story
Why CEED exists
The gap we saw
Across Africa, millions of young people finish school ready to work but cannot find a way in. Employers say graduates lack practical, job ready skills. Small businesses start with energy but stall without structure, finance knowledge or support. Talent is everywhere. Pathways are not.
Building the bridge
CEED Africa, the Center For Enterprise & Employability Development, was created to close that gap. We bring together practical training, mentorship and real world exposure so people can move from learning to earning, whether through a job or a business of their own.
Learning that leads somewhere
Every CEED program is designed around a clear outcome: getting hired, growing an enterprise or building a sustainable livelihood. We keep classes practical, connect learners with mentors who have done the work, and support them beyond the classroom.
Growing with partners
We work with employers, schools, development partners and funders to design training that matches real demand, run cohorts at scale and connect learners to opportunities. Together, we are building a stronger workforce and more resilient small businesses across the continent.
